Welcome to the Home of 2008 16 & under Lincoln Swingers Softball

Team History

Most of the players on this team have been with the Swingers since 2003. In 2006 and 2007, they finished 3rd in the LYSA league. This will be their first year in 16 and under, and they are counting on great defense to make up for their inexperience at this age level. Craig Dudycha is their new head coach, and Paul Essman, Jack Dike, Mollie Howell, and Staci Givens will be assisting. Everyone is looking forward to an exciting year.

About the Coaches

Staci Givens is a senior at Nebraska Wesleyan University. She is majoring in Sociology, Psychology, and Coaching. She is originally from O'Neill, Nebraska and played on the Class 'B' team called the Fighting Irish, where she excelled at center field, second base, and pitcher. Staci played softball at NWU for 2 years, where she played the outfield, and has coached 14 & under girls for the past 3 summers. After graduating she hopes to coach at the high school and collegiate level.

Mollie Howell played catcher for the Lincoln Swingers from 1998-2001. After graduating from Lincoln Southwest High School, she went on to Southwest Minnesota State for a year, again playing catcher. She now works in Lincoln.
